    Ebay censorship or moderation

Can the Taz staff start either deleting topics about Ebay or move them all to a separate board called Exstatic about Ebay (or similar, I know my spelling rubbish, Im asleep at the keys).

Im getting peeved with Ebay this and Ebay that. Sometimes it feels as though every snippet of news about Ebay just "has" to be posted on here and I dont like it rammed down my throat so much

    Its a Tazbar forum

    Yes

Perhaps just a little thought from our Tazzie community before posting may be all that's required.......

I am utterly committed to Taz as hopefully many of you know.  But - I'm also an ebay seller and will still be one post the next round of changes.

If I want to know about all things ebay - I go over there.......

    This IS Tazbar!

I think we should be able to talk about what we like here

Feebay talk is business talk for some members here

Isnt that what the business forum is for?

I'm not trying to speak for Books - as I don't know where she was coming from with this thread...

but for me....... discussion on changes is one thing and very valid over here but sometimes, and apologies if I'm being unfair, not intended, it does feel as if there's a race to just post up the next set of ebay changes, or a damaging article, or negative viewpoint.

Granted many viewpoints are negative at the moment - but for some players in the ebay market these new changes are good (sadly not for me!!).  And for some of us who still intend to stay put and sell over there it's just quite disheartening.

So - I hope my comment is not taken as wanting to stop discussion.  It's just it often doesn't seem to be discussion to me, just knock and bad mouth..........

My own view - which of course may be entirely wrong - is that while changes will drive some sellers from ebay...... A positive general public perception of that site is very very important for ANY competitor, and that includes Taz.  People switching off to ebay, may well switch off to any online auction venue, which does none of us any favours

Well - there you go - I've now gone and done exactly the opposite of my post above and written far too much in my reply and turned this thread into another discussion of my views on ebay.  So enough from me Smile

    Re: Ebay censorship or moderation

Censorship. Not something I agree with.

Moderation. Such discussions are in moderation when compared to the variety of other topics being discussed.

Solution. If I find a subject offensive, I tend not to read it and therefore avoid ramming it down my own throat by not looking.

I for one will not let the raft of changes deter me from using eBay. I will simply adjust my content here and there, but I don't have to like the extra work that HAS been forced down my throat.

    TTG.

That is without doubt the best and most reasoned post I have seen on Tazbar on this subject.
