Browsing and Searching.
There are two different ways to find items on Tazbar. Browsing and
Searching.
Browsing.
Browsing is ideal if you are not looking for a specific item and want to
just look through the various listings within a category. The main way to do
this is to click on the categories seen on the left hand side of the home
page. The numbers alongside these represent the number of items present within
that category. An item may appear in two categories if the seller feels it
could be truly represented in both. For instance an autographed photograph of
a famous Boxer might be included in autographs and sporting memorabilia.
When you click on the category it will bring a list of all of the items
within that category and give you the option to drill down further into the
sub categories. Each time this reduces the amount of results as the browse
becomes more specific.
You can also browse within a seller's items. You will see links on every
auction page to go to the sellers other items, shop or Seller Gallery. By
clicking on these you are presented with all of the items that this seller
has for sale.
Searching.
Searching is more specific. If you know exactly what you want, enter the
keywords in the search box shown at the top of every screen on Tazbar. When
you do this you will be given options to search for auction titles, advert ID
or seller name. When the results of the search are shown you are then given
the option to drill down further using the categories on the left of the
screen.
The results page.
The results page is similar for both searching and browsing. You can view
the items as a list or as a gallery. This offers the items in large picture
format. To change this click the "Gallery" link at the top left of the list.
You can filter the results using the option at the top left of the list to
show all items for sale, auctions only, buy now only and classifieds (where
applicable)
You can change the order of the list by clicking the drop down box on the
top right of the the list. This allows you to order the list by time, price
or popularity.
When you have used the search facility via keywords you can also filter
the results down by location. This control is shown on the left of the screen
and allows you to set a radius distance from a certain location.
Shops.
Further help will be added to this section once the Tazbar Shops system is
introduced.
