Classified Advert Terms

This policy is in addition to the existing User Agreement. The User Agreement, Privacy Policy and all trading policies apply unless stated below.

Classified Adverts.

Classified adverts offer a different approach to selling on Tazbar. Rather than having a listing end when sold a Classified advert runs for 30 days without any bid or buy now options. The seller is allowed to include contact details in the advert. It can be ended early if the seller wishes. This is particularly useful for categories such as vehicles where the seller may not wish to remove an advert until the transaction is complete. There is a charge to place a Classified Advert (see fees page).

Some additional rules and exceptions are added to the existing policies to cover this type of advert. By placing a Classified advert you agree to these terms.

Classified Advert Specific Rules.

A member is allowed to show contact details in a classified advert both in the designated sections and in the description. The inclusion of phone numbers that charge the caller a fee are not permitted. The inclusion of contact details is at the advertiser’s risk.

A classified advert does not have a buy or bid option. Any transactions that take place as a result of a classified advert are between the buyer and seller only. Tazbar has no involvement in the transaction.

There are no checkout options on a Classified advert.

Feedback cannot be left on Classified adverts.

Offsite Links are not allowed in classified adverts unless they go to an information page that further describes the item being sold. Adverts containing links that specifically take the viewer to other selling venues are not allowed. Tazbar reserves the right to remove adverts or links at its discretion without notice.

Classified adverts can be placed into as many as 4 categories. The categories must be relevant to the product offered.

Classified adverts must be removed once the item offered has been sold or is no longer available. Listings can be removed using the end item early facility.

Pricing should be accurate and not advertised with the intention of misleading viewers. The price shown should represent the total price of the goods offered. If an item offered has variable potential prices depending on the specification then the price should be classed as a “from” price and clearly explained in the description. The seller is responsible for making clear all costs and inclusive items.

Example: An advert that offers commissioned paintings by an artist may have a number of prices depending on the time taken with the commission and the canvas size. In this case the price should be treated as “prices from £ xxx.xx” and clearly explained in the description.

The only exception to this rule is if you are linking a classified advert to your other Tazbar listings only. You are allowed to use a classified advert as a summary of the type of products that you have for sale on Tazbar. On this occasion the price should be set 0.01 and you must include a link to your Tazbar listings.

Only one product may be listed per advert. The inclusion of a list of products is not allowed unless that list is for the content of a single transaction such as a collection of CD’s etc.

Tazbar reserves the right to alter these rules at any time.
