Tazbar is a UK based online person to person selling venue. It was
launched in August 2006. The site offers its members 3 distinct ways to
trade.
- Auction Format.
- Fixed price (Buy Now) Format.
- Wanted Adverts.
The main objective is to offer a venue that brings buyers and sellers
together that offers value for money services and a strong community spirit.
Whilst the auction format is now well known, Tazbar has created its own
unique wanted section. As Tazbar grows, more emphasis will be given to
promote and educate members of the value and power of the wanted system.

matching wanted advert is placed.
- Free shopping list feature which allows you to enter a list of the
items you want and receive updates when items of your interest are
listed.
- Sealed bids facility: Our unique secret bidding option for wanted
offers.
- Minimal final price fees when you sell you item because Tazbar is
committed to keeping selling costs realistic and hence lowering prices
for buyers.

Tazbar has recognized that there are vast numbers of people that still
have treasures hidden away that they didn't even know were of any value. It
may be a rare collectable or it may be a long forgotten motorcycle part that
is hidden in the back of the shed. When prompted by a wanted advertisement,
the owner soon realises the true value of their forgotten items. There are
many innovative features within the Tazbar system to help bring buyers and
sellers together. The Tazbar wanted system is designed to bring those long
lost treasures to life again.
- Tazbar Shopping List.
Let Tazbar keep you informed of new listings that might interest
you!
Tazbar Shopping List in the control panel is an easy to use tool that
allows you to instruct Tazbar to email you when listings are placed for
goods you might wish to buy . With the Tazbar shopping list you can enter
a list of items you would like to buy. Tazbar constantly checks for any
new listings that are placed that have these goods offered. You then
receive an email that directs you to these listings. This way you can
enter the items you would like to buy and let Tazbar do the work for you.
- Seller Key Words.
The Seller Key Words feature works in a similar way to the Shopping
List. However rather than finding items for sale it searches all new
wanted adverts. A seller can enter a list of their stock inventory or any
items they wish to sell. Tazbar then emails the seller when a wanted
advert is placed that matches. This feature can be found in the control
panel.
- Eliminating Bid Sniping:
Tazbar recognises the frustration of both buyers and sellers when an
auction is won by bid sniping software. The Tazbar 'EXTRA TIME'
feature eliminates sniping software in one simple move. In a real live
auction the item ends when the bidding stops and not before. Why should
it be any different with online auctions? Whilst a seller may set an end
time the Tazbar system will automatically add an extra 60 seconds to an
auction if a bid is placed in the last 60 seconds. This gives other
bidders the time to add a further bid thus eliminating bid sniping
software.
Example; if a bid is placed with 10 seconds to go, a further 60
seconds is added from the time of that bid. This effectively adds 50
seconds to the original end time.
- Community spirit.
In order to develop a meaningful membership base Tazbar.com has to
constantly re-invest any funds generated into driving traffic to the
site. This, along with caring for the community of members and constant
development are the crucial building blocks of the business. Many new
auction sites pop up and fail because of lack of members, awareness and
advertising. Development has to be continuous. Tazbar understands that
the care of its community is of prime importance. It understands that the
community accepts that charges have to be made for its services as this
is the key to success but equally the community must be allowed to have
its say and help to mould Tazbar into a strong, safe environment. It is
because of this understanding that Tazbar actively encourages free speech
and use of its forum facilities. It is the community of members that will
help develop categories, help police the site and ultimately Tazbar will
be looking to its members for recruitment and ideas.
