preservation from 1990-2004.

This CD-R contains 150 full colour photographs of the famous British Rail class 55 “Deltic” locomotives from 1990-2004.  They can be seen in a variety of different poses and liveries at numerous preservation sites around the UK (plus some BR depot open days), and also back on the mainline where they belong. 

• Locomotives 55002, 55009, 55015, 55019 and 55022 are all featured, along with the prototype “DELTIC” and the remaining cab of 55008.

• Includes 46 pictures of FOUR mainline Deltic hauled railtours in 1997 and 1999.

• Includes 17 pictures of Deltic related items – engines, nameplates, cab views, etc…..

• Descriptions:  Every photo comes with a caption stored in the “file properties” detailing the locomotive, location and exact date.  Many of these captions contain additional information and some light humour as well.  There are also MS Word and *.RTF format files containing all the captions for the whole disk so you can view/print them out too.

• All photos have been scanned directly from 35mm negatives at a super-high resolution of 2400dpi to give you the best possible image.

• All photos are approx 8.5 Megapixels in standard JPEG format.

• Each Deltic has it’s own sub-directory on the disk with photos arranged inside in chronological order.  Therefore, the disk charts their preservation progress with each locomotive obviously being shown several times and at different places.

• I use quality Memorex brand disks, NOT cheap “shop’s-own” disks.  The CD comes supplied in a slim-line plastic case.

• The disk also comes with a colour sleeve and colour artwork label.  This is NOT a “no-frills” item.

I have been an amateur photographer and railway enthusiast for over 20 years.  All photographs on this disk are my own work using a Nikon N2000 35mm SLR camera with either 100 or 200 speed film.

I retain copyright over all images.  They are for personal enjoyment and non-profit use only.  The words "copyright protected" do not appear on the photos on the disk, they are here only to stop people downloading them.
