Disk one – 10 years of classic British Rail
mainline locomotives from 1987-1997.
This CD-R features 150 full colour photographs from the BR sectorisation years of 1987-1997. This disk takes you back to when locomotives were still common on passenger workings and before class 66s arrived to dominate the freight scene.
- Classes: 08, 20, 31, 33, 37, 40, 43, 47, 56, 58, 59, 60, 73, 85, 86, 87, 90, 91, 92 - all in a wide variety of liveries popular at the time. THERE ARE NO MULTIPLE UNITS!!!
- Locations: Aberdeen, Carlisle, Crewe, Darlington, Doncaster, Edinburgh, Hull, Inverness, Leeds, Liverpool, London area (various stations), Manchester, Stafford, York - plus several smaller stations in-between, some lineside shots and four BR depot open days/special events.
- Descriptions: Every photo comes with a caption stored in the “file properties” detailing the locomotive, location and exact date. There are also MS Word and *.RTF format files containing all the captions for the whole disk so you can view/print them out too.
- All photos have been scanned directly from 35mm negatives at a super-high resolution of 2400dpi to give you the best possible image.
- All photos are approx 8.5 Megapixels in standard JPEG format.
- Locomotives are arranged on the disk in TOPS number order.
- I use quality Memorex brand disks, NOT cheap “shop’s-own” disks. The CD comes supplied in a slim-line plastic case.
- The disk also comes with a colour sleeve and colour artwork label. This is NOT a “no-frills” item.
I have been an amateur photographer and railway enthusiast for over 20 years. All photographs on this disk are my own work using a Nikon N2000 35mm SLR camera with either 100 or 200 speed film.
I retain copyright over all images. They are for personal enjoyment and non-profit use only. The words "copyright protected" do not appear on the photos on the disk, they are here only to stop people downloading them.
